This quarterly was launched under the title of Iran and Islam letter with the permission of 18666 from the Ministry of Culture and & Islamic Guidance and its first issue was published in the summer of 2011 with the subject of Iranology and Islamology. According to the decision of the National Library and Archives Research Council in July 2020, it was decided that this quarterly with the new title of the International Journal of Iranian-Islamic Studies and under the auspices of the Publications Review Commission of the Ministry of Science ,Research and Technology in order to gain maximum audience.
