Abstract
This article presents a critical assessment of Bastani Parizi, Politics and Economy of the Safavid Era, a useful yet understudied work within Safavid historiography. It seeks to situate this text within the broader canon of Safavid Studies and evaluate its scholarly contribution to the field.
