Abstract

Dr. Mosahab’s The Persian Encyclopedia represents the first systematic encyclopedia in the Persian language, compiled in accordance with established scholarly principles and rigorous editorial standards. As such, it constitutes a watershed moment in Iranian encyclopedic writing, establishing a model for subsequent endeavors. The present article examines the historical context of its compilation, alongside an analysis of its strengths and limitations.
