Abstract
An Introduction to Shiʿi Studies represents one of the latest contributions to the field, seeking to illuminate new dimensions of Shiʿi history through close engagement with literary texts, information preserved in bureaucratic manuals, and unpublished and manuscript sources. By drawing upon this diverse body of evidence, the volume offers fresh perspectives on the historical development of Shiʿism and expands the methodological horizons of contemporary Shiʿi studies.
