This quarterly was launched under the title of Iran and Islam Magazine with the permission of 18666 from the Ministry of Guidance and its first issue was published in the summer of 2012 with the subject of Iranology and Islamology. According to the decision of the National Library Research Council in July 2016, it was decided that this quarterly, with the new title of the International Journal of Iran-Islam Studies and under the auspices of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research, will continue to work in order to gain maximum audience.
