One of the prominent themes in Khayyam Nishabouri's thought is the discussion about the philosophy of existence and the creation of the system of existence. After thinking and pondering in this context, Khayyam was surprised by the understanding of the philosophy of creation, raised a cry of protest and finally admitted that he was unable to understand the truth of existence and its reasoning. This theme in his quatrains has caused some people to identify him as a believer in the school of laadria and accuse him of irreligion. Considering what has been said, the purpose of this research, which has been carried out in a descriptive-analytical and bibliographic way, is to explain Khayyam Neishabouri's astonishment and indifference towards understanding the truth of creation. The results of the present research show that atheism in Khayyam's thought is not of its atheistic type, but is positive and arises from his amazement and wonder about the system of creation and divine power. It is worth mentioning that in none of his quatrains is there any sign of denying the existence of God, but he has always considered himself incapable of understanding the Creator of the universe and the creation system.
