Khayyam can be considered one of the greatest poets of all periods in the history of Iranian literature, who has opened his lofty position in world literature and has greatly influenced the world's writers. During different eras, translators and great thinkers of the world have been inclined towards his quatrains. As it has been talked about his position in the West, especially Fitzgerald's role in making Khayyam and his quatrains famous. In this article, an attempt is made to present a report of the first translations of Khayyam's quatrains by people such as Gregorio Martínez Sierra, Jorge Guillermo Borges, Joaquín González, Juan Doblen, Manuel Bernabe, etc. in Spanish in order to point out the reasons for their turning to quatrains. Khayyam in the Hispanic world, the characteristics of these translations will be discussed a little. You have said that one of the main reasons for the tendency towards the translation of Rabiyat Khayyam was the modernists' particular view of the East, because they were looking for something beyond tradition, customs, and familiar affairs, and the East, as a new world, provided them with this opportunity.
