The book Khatrah al-Taif: On Travels in the Maghreb and Andalusia is by Lisan al-Din ibn Khatib (d. 776 AH), which has been researched and reviewed by Egyptian author Dr. Ahmed Mokhtar Ebadi. Ibn Khatib is a historian and minister of the 8th century AH who also held the position of minister in the court of the Banu Nasr (635-897 AH). This work of Ibn Khatib, which is written in the form of a travelogue, is organized into four treatises or four parts, the third and fourth of which are repetitions of two other works of Ibn Khatib, namely, the criterion of choice and the nefazat of the jarab, all four treatises describing the cities that Ibn Khatib visited during his travels to these two regions. This work of Ibn Khatib is due to Ibn Khatib's attention to the cities of his route in terms of geography, economy, and... The prose of the work is collected and the way of writing and writing the work, the use of poetry in describing events and incidents in cities and sometimes in describing geographical, historical places and urban space are among the characteristics of the text of Khatira al-Tayf. The positive point of this work is the type of writing and prose of the book. One of the weaknesses of the review and criticism of this work is the inefficiency of all the components of criticism in works of the travelogue type.
