The author takes an innovative and systematic approach to describe the interplay between the phenomena of paradise and fasting. By delving beyond conventional understandings tied to this-worldly events and practices, the author unveils the profound connection these concepts hold with the very essence of existence. The author argues that acts of worship in general, and fasting in particular, cause paradise to overflow into this very “now,” with faith serving as the conduit through which the “now” transforms into paradise, which we carry with us. The author posits that the condition for becoming paradisiacal is to be paradisiacal, and individuals who, in this world, have reflected and manifested paradise within themselves and in their interactions with others will find the promised paradise eagerly awaiting them.
